Super Blue Blood Moon Shots

If like myself, last night you were looking forward to blowing the dust off the lenses and getting out there to photograph Lunar eclipse after having counted the cost of boldly braving the sudden nocturnal cold snap as nothing but, also like me you are a citizen of Sydney, you're probably feeling robbed for the most part this morning.
Clouds at low and high altitudes conspired with relatively high winds to make the whole thing a bit of a fizzer from our point of view after all.

None the less, the same was not the the experience for other astronomy amateurs buffs (and professionals) across Oz.

I've put together a sampling below of what we here in the Harbour City missed out on seeing for ourselves last night.

Will let them speak for them selves. Enjoy.

My Grandmother used to say to me that "nothing good happens in Darlinghurst after dark".

Wise woman.

Total Eclipse Of The Heart

Tonight is the first total lunar eclipse since 2015 and everybody in Oz should have a front row seat a seat for it. That's assuming there are no clouds of course. 👍
Here are the best times to go outside and get a look for yourself!
